{prayers}

If you have a spare minute today, please say a prayer for me. Babies are doing great, but momma isn't doing so well. I knew the baby blues were common, but boy when they hit you it comes out of nowhere. I am blessed with two beautiful babies and I'm hoping it won't take too long for me to fully understand that blessing. I'm sure all of you mommas out there can understand how I'm feeling.

  3. Don't forget that this isn't your fault. Your hormones are all over the place and you are going through one of the biggest and most stressful times of your life. Don't be ashamed to get help from your Doctor(assume you probably have?) and ask your family and friends to help as much as they are willing. I'd make you a meal and come hold a baby for you if I was closer! One day at a time... Amanda

  5. I don't know how I've stumbled upon your blog (maybe from thenest?) but I've been following your pregnancy and birth of your two little boys. I felt the need to comment today as a fellow new mom (my baby is 3.5 months). The beginning is so hard. You've got crazy hormones, emotions out the wazoo, lack of sleep, and everything else. Don't be afraid to ask for help. It's ok to put your baby in the crib and let him cry for a few minutes while you compose yourself or take a quick shower. As I'm sure you've heard before, it does get SO much easier..it just takes time. I'm praying for you-hang in there!

    The baby blues are real and truly miserable. Like others have said, don't let yourself feel guilty. It doesn't diminish your love for Ben and Landon. You're in the very center of a HUGE life change. Let yourself feel what it will. You WILL get through and trust me on this one, the joy those boys will bring you down the road will surpass these blues by a million times over!! Praying for you!

  10. I've been enjoying seeing your new photos via Flickr!

    What you're feeling is so very normal, and I understand completely. You're going to be ok, and I want you to know that everything you're feeling is so real, even though it seems like something that nobody talks about. It can be really scary being a new mom. The first few weeks are so hard because your hormones are going crazy, and you're sleep deprived. Accept all help offered, and ask for it even when not offered (easier said than done, at least for me). And if you feel like you're not getting any better, call your doctor. Hugs to you, fellow new momma!
