I've had my eye on cute clocks like this one for awhile now...

So when I came across a cute little wood clock and a paper doily, a lightbulb went off in my head.
And I came up with this...
So cute, right?
And this project couldn't have been any simpler. The hardest part was figuring out how to get the hands off. And I'm embarrassed to say that it was NOT hard. Ha :)
Here it was before...
I took off the hands and painted them a fun shade of blue {totally forgot to take a picture of this...but you can figure that out, right?}
Then I took a paper doily, cut a hole to fit it over the mechanism, and used mod podge to adhere it {a layer under and on top of the doily}...
Yeah...I know it covers part of the 10. Bummer. But oh well...I still love it.
Then I reattached the hands...
And voila!
I still haven't picked a home for it, but it looks pretty darn cute on our mantel...
And this was the cheapest.project.ever...the clock was a freebie, and I already owned the paint and the doily.
Can't beat that! :)
