Last weekend I put together a fun Halloween craft for the boys and my nephew. I was inspired by this project I found through Pinterest over at Decor Hacks...
My supply list:
- Plain glass mason jars
- Orange stained glass paint {similar}
- Painters tape
- Sticky felt
- Scissors
I taped off the jars with narrow stripes {I cut the tape strips in half} and then let the boys paint them...
And set them outside to let them dry {this paint dried super fast...even the goopy parts ;) }...
When they were dry I pulled off the tape. The
paint I chose wasn't as opaque as I had hoped, and some of it pulled
off when we took the tape off the jars, so I would recommend acrylic or a
different kind of glass paint.
Then I cut out some simple jack-o-lantern face shapes using sticky backed felt and let the boys pick out the faces they wanted to apply. We put some votive candles in them and voila!
I love how Ben gave his "eyebrows"...it looks like frankenstein :)
Despite the paint issue they still turned out cute, and the boys had fun making them.
Have you done any fun Halloween projects with your littles? I'd love to see them!

Those turned out super cute! I don't know why, but jack-o-lantern faces made by little kids make me smile every time. :)
