I figured it would be much easier to give you a recap in pictures with small bits to read so here we go...
We went to my mother-in-law's on Christmas Eve to enjoy a family dinner and open some presents. It was a great way to kick-off the holiday.
They both decided that presents make great seats...
On Christmas morning, the boys slept in for us which was great - Ben got up around 8:30 and Landon around 9. Merry Christmas to us!
Ben sat and chilled in his bean bag chair and watched TV...
When Landon got up we gave them their smaller gift - microphones so they could be just like Sid...
Sing it Benny!
Then we gave them their big gift which is kind of self-serving - a cart with all sorts of cleaning tools. The boys love to act like they are cleaning and we figure in a few years we can turn all of that over to them. I kid...sort of ;)
And we put together the awesome basketball goal their Auntie Beth gave them. They are both already experts at dunking...
Family started arriving around noon and the craziness began! We have never had that many food or gifts in our house at once. I think we had 23 people including the little ones so it was quite a scene, especially with five boys all under the age of 3!
Some random shots of the day...
The boys received so many great gifts - a really fun tent from my parents and a play kitchen (so they can follow in Daddy's footsteps), some fun toys, lots of books and DVD's and lots of cute clothes. The hardest part of the day was figuring out who's gifts were whose after everything had been opened!
After the day was over and the boys were in bed, the ladies went to my mother-in-law's house to watch a movie and have some girl time. The perfect ending to a really great day.
I hope everyone had an equally wonderful Christmas and was able to spend time with the ones you love. Now onto an even better 2010!
